Anthropic Commits $100M to Train 10,000 AI Engineers

Anthropic is investing $100 million to train 10,000 engineers who can deploy its Claude AI inside large companies.
The new Claude Frontier Academy was announced on October 2. It aims to certify 10,000 “frontier deployed engineers” by the end of 2027.
The first groups include engineers from Accenture, Bain, Capgemini, Commonwealth Bank of Australia, Deloitte, McKinsey, Morgan Stanley and Novo Nordisk.
The program is not a simple webinar. Participants start with multi-day in-person training and a simulated enterprise deployment. They then complete a 12-week residency running a real Claude project inside their own company.
Graduates earn badges. The first two, Claude Resident Engineer and Claude Frontier Deployed Engineer, are expected in early 2027.
“No AI company has invested in developing that talent inside its customers and partners at this depth,” said Steve Corfield, Anthropic’s global head of business development and partnerships.
Anthropic says the biggest bottleneck for AI adoption is not model quality. It is the shortage of people who can put AI to work inside a real business.
