Salman recalls how 10 Ka Dum changed his public image
Salman Khan has recalled how hosting the TV show 10 Ka Dum helped change his public image after a phase of negative media coverage.
Speaking on Bigg Boss 20’s Weekend Ka Vaar, Salman said there was a time after Maine Pyar Kiya when he faced negativity over court cases, relationships and films.
He said he was unsure about doing 10 Ka Dum because of the coverage at the time. He then sought advice from his father, writer Salim Khan.
According to Salman, his father asked whether he had confidence in his upbringing. When Salman said yes, Salim Khan told him to “be yourself in the show.”
Salman said that in that one show, audiences got to know who he really was. Viewers began connecting with him beyond his film roles.
He also revealed that the constant negativity made him stop reading news reports and watching clips about himself. The episode aired on October 3.
