Hanuman Ansh sets 467x box-office record from tiny opening

Hanuman Ansh has set a box-office record that may stand for years. The film opened to just Rs 0.64 crore over its first weekend but went on to a lifetime India net of Rs 300.44 crore, a weekend-to-lifetime multiple of 467.94x.
The “Aamir Khan formula” measures a film’s lifetime business against its opening weekend, rewarding films with strong legs. Hanuman Ansh is the only 2026 release to record a triple-digit multiple. The film at No. 2, Main Vaapas Aaunga, has a multiple of 11.60x.
The film crossed Rs 300 crore in India on day 55, becoming the third 2026 release to do so after Dhurandhar The Revenge and Border 2. Worldwide, it has passed Rs 400 crore, moving ahead of 3 Idiots and Kantara in the all-time rankings.
Bollywood Hungama reports the film collected Rs 90.65 crore in its fifth week alone, driven by word of mouth.
The run is a rare long-tail success story in an era of front-loaded openings, built on family audiences and repeat viewing.
