Busy Philipps has revealed that her latest brain scan came back clean, nearly eight months after she was diagnosed with a rare malignant brain tumor.

The 47-year-old shared the news at the New York premiere of her new CBS legal drama Cupertino on September 30. She told People magazine she had spoken to her oncologist earlier that day.

Philipps joked that her doctor seemed more interested in talking about the show than her health. She said the doctor asked when Cupertino was coming out.

She learned she had the tumor on the same day she was cast in the show. Doctors found a rare Grade 2 oligodendroglioma during a full-body MRI in February 2026.

She had two surgeries in March. Because the tumor was caught early, her surgeon removed it fully and she did not need chemotherapy or radiation.
